Managing a fleet with Q8 liberty cards?

Link email addresses and activate mobile fueling

To enable fueling via the app, the Q8 liberty card must be linked to the cardholder’s professional email address. We’ll use that email to verify the user once. Requesting a new card and want to activate mobile fueling? Just add the email, and you’re good to go.

Missing a bunch of email addresses? Link them all at once!

Use Q8 liberty web to save time by linking all the email addresses to the right cards in one go. Like that you can activate mobile fueling right away. 

  1. Go to the Q8 liberty web menu 

  2. Click Drivers > Mobile authorization > General actions > Mass upload 

  3. Download the file via Export drivers > Export to Excel 

  4. Fill in the email addresses (column C: email) and set action to Enable (column F) → Only needed for cardholders you want to activate mobile fueling for 

  5. Save the updated file 

  6. Return to Q8 liberty web and click Import Drivers > Choose file 

  7. Upload the correct file and click Import Excel 

After these steps, all activated drivers will get a new status: Can start registration. 

Want to activate mobile fueling for just a few cardholders?

  • Go to the Q8 liberty web menu 

  • Click Drivers > Mobile authorization 

  • Search by name, email or card number 

  • Click … > Activate mobile fueling 

Selected multiple drivers? Use Activate selection. 

What your cardholders will see

Once mobile fueling is activated, cardholders will automatically receive an email prompting them to link their Q8 liberty card to the app. When they do, they’ll get a second email with a code. 

By using that code, their professional email and the last 6 digits of their card number, they’ll be able to identify themselves and complete the setup.
