Q8 electric station Netherland

Q8 introduces Q8 electric in the Netherlands

Thursday, 26 March 2026

Q8 introduces its international charging brand Q8 electric, a sub-brand of Q8, in the Netherlands. With this step, Q8 brings its charging activities together under one recognisable brand and further expands its network of electric charging solutions and EV charging stations across Europe.

Q8 is already active with electric charging solutions and EV charging stations in several European countries, including Belgium and Luxembourg, and is now taking the next step by bringing Q8 electric to the Netherlands. By adopting a single international brand, Q8 makes electric charging simpler and more consistent for customers, both locally and across borders.

“With Q8 electric, we continue to build a strong and reliable charging network in Europe,” says Mark Buissink, Marketing Manager Q8 and Tango. “The introduction in the Netherlands is a logical next step, allowing us to respond to the growing demand for electric mobility.”

Phased rollout

The rollout of Q8 electric in the Netherlands will take place in several phases. Initially, Q8 will install new charging points at locations where no charging facilities are currently available. In addition, the company is working on the development of fast-charging stations.

From summer 2026 onwards, existing Tango electric charging points will also be rebranded to Q8 electric. This includes not only a name and branding update, but also the integration of digital systems into the Q8 electric network.

One European network

With Q8 electric, Q8 provides its customers with access to a vast European charging network. Customers will be able to use Q8 electric charging cards, giving them access to up to 900,000 charging points across the European Union.

By bringing the network together under one brand, Q8 ensures a consistent and reliable charging experience. At the same time, it simplifies internal processes and collaboration with partners, allowing customers to benefit from ease of use and transparent pricing.

About Q8

Q8 is one of the leading players in the Benelux in fuels and energy, with a strong focus on more sustainable mobility. In the Netherlands, it operates 198 Tango fuel and charging stations. Recently, Tango opened its first mobility hub in partnership with Bakker Bart, offering charging facilities, food and beverage options, and even workspaces. With Q8 electric, Q8 is also strongly committed to accelerating the transition towards more sustainable mobility. Since launching Q8 electric five years ago, the company has rapidly expanded its charging network. The Q8 charging card and app provide access to more than 900,000 charging points across Europe and nearly all charging points in the Benelux.

Over the next five years, Q8 will roll out more than 500 Q8 electric fast-charging locations across the Benelux. In doing so, Q8 continues to accelerate its transformation into a sustainable mobility player.
