Q8 electric further expands fast charging network in Flemish Brabant New fast charging location opens in Tielt-Winge

Q8 electric has opened four new fast chargers, providing eight charging points, at the Gouden Kruispunt shopping center in Tielt-Winge. The opening marks another step in the expansion of Q8 electric’s fast charging network in Flemish Brabant. In recent months, 32 fast charging points have already been added, with another 34 planned across five additional locations later this year.
The four new fast chargers are located at the Gouden Kruispunt, near the roundabout. Q8 electric selected the location for its easy accessibility and its position at a busy shopping center close to key roads in the region. “Drivers can quickly charge their car here while shopping or taking a short break,” says Steven Clauwaert, Head of Fast Charging at Q8.
The fast chargers offer charging power ranging from 200 to 400 kW. Depending on the vehicle, charging power, and battery capacity, drivers can charge their electric car to 80% in around 20 to 60 minutes. While their car is charging, they can make use of the shopping center’s facilities.
Further expansion in Flemish Brabant
With the opening in Tielt-Winge, Q8 electric continues to grow its charging network across Flemish Brabant. In recent months, 32 new fast charging points have been added at eight different locations, including the Park & Ride facilities in Strombeek-Bever and Kampenhout, and Q8 stations in Ruisbroek, Linkebeek, Sterrebeek, and Kraainem.
The expansion continues in the coming months, with another 34 fast charging points planned across five additional locations: Nossegem, Wemmel, Holsbeek, Grimbergen, and Herent.
Towards 500 fast charging locations across the Benelux
The expansion supports Q8’s ambition to grow into a sustainable mobility player.
“Over the next five years, we aim to develop 500 fast charging locations across the Benelux. This will give our customers more mobility options and make charging more convenient when they’re on the road,” concludes Steven Clauwaert.
