Q8 expands its network with 7 fuel stations at redeveloped Shopping Cora sites
Thursday, 29 January 2026
Q8 will start, as from 1 February, with the takeover of 7 fuel stations located at redeveloped Shopping Cora sites in Anderlecht, Châtelineau, Hornu, La Louvière, Rocourt and Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe. With this expansion, Q8 strengthens its presence at strategically located and future-oriented sites where retail, mobility and high visitor flows come together.
A winning combination
The former Cora hypermarket sites in Brussels and Wallonia are currently being transformed by fund manager Mitiska REIM into modern shopping centres, welcoming new retailers such as Dreamland, Kiabi, Jysk, Dreambaby, Aldi and Delhaize – a long-standing partner of Q8.
With this expansion, Q8 focuses on three strategic pillars:
Strong retail mix: an offer that conveniently combines shopping and mobility
Growth in high-traffic zones: maximum visibility and smooth accessibility for customers
Future-proof mobility: locations with potential for multimodal and electric mobility
“The combination of our stations with shopping has been working very well for years, and we continue to fully invest in this model. We want to be exactly where the customer needs us. These locations therefore represent a smart and strategic expansion of our network,” says Bart Moens, Network Development Manager at Q8. “They are located close to busy traffic arteries and business areas, which makes them even more relevant for the future. We also see opportunities at these sites for the rollout of Q8 electric. We will explore these possibilities at a later stage.”
Modernisation
In the coming months, the stations will officially adopt the Q8 easy logo. “After that, we will modernise the stations step by step,” says Bart Moens. “Through a full rebranding, we will bring them to the highest level in terms of ease of use, safety and customer experience.”
Mitiska REIM is already pleased to welcome a strong partner such as Q8 to the Shopping Cora sites. “The long-term collaboration between Mitiska REIM and Q8 once again confirms our confidence in the redevelopment potential offered by the Shopping Cora locations in Brussels and Wallonia,” says Bram Thomas, Managing Director BNF at Mitiska REIM.
With the arrival of Q8, each shopping centre gains a strong mobility partner capable of responding to customers’ mobility needs, both today and in the future.
