Our fuels: types & benefits
At Q8, you can fuel up with diesel or gasoline, and we also offer more eco-friendly fuel options to help you reduce your environmental impact. Choose from a wide range of fuel types at our pumps: from classic Euro 95, Super 98 and diesel to alternative options like LPG* and CNG*. No matter what you choose, you always get high-quality HiQ fuel that protects your engine, boosts performance and is gentler on the planet. And all that without paying more than for standard fuel.
Euro 95 (E10)
Euro 95 – or E10 – is a type of gasoline suitable for petrol engines made after 2002. It contains up to 10% ethanol, a renewable component that helps reduce CO₂ emissions. The “E” stands for ethanol, and “10” indicates the maximum percentage.
This type of fuel is compatible with most modern gasoline vehicles and is often less expensive. However, it may not be suitable for older models. Not sure if your car can run on E10? Check your owner’s manual or ask your mechanic.
Super 98 (E5)
Super 98 is a premium gasoline with a higher octane rating, ideal for all gasoline engines. It can contain up to 5% ethanol (E5), but Q8 Super 98 is ethanol-free making it a safer choice for older vehicles that are not E10-compatible.
With an octane level of 98, it provides better engine protection, cleaner combustion and optimized performance, especially for high-performance engines.
Diesel (B7)
This is standard diesel fuel suitable for all diesel engines. It contains up to 7% biodiesel and is labeled B7. The “B” stands for biodiesel, and “7” is the maximum allowable percentage.
Q8 diesel meets all current European standards and is safe for use in all diesel vehicles designed for standard diesel.
LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas)
LPG is an alternative fuel made from a mix of propane and butane. It’s stored as a liquid under low pressure and is a byproduct of oil and natural gas extraction.
LPG is cheaper than gasoline or diesel and emits less CO₂ and fine particles. Your vehicle needs a special LPG tank to use it. Because it must be sold under supervision, LPG is only available at staffed Q8 stations.
CNG (Compressed Natural Gas)
CNG is natural gas compressed under high pressure. It’s a cleaner alternative to gasoline or diesel, emitting 20–25% less CO₂, nitrogen oxides and fine particles. CNG is mostly methane and requires a specially designed tank.
It delivers a smooth ride and range similar to other fuels, and the technology is extremely safe. You can refuel or park anywhere, even underground. CNG is only available at staffed Q8 stations.
AdBlue
AdBlue isn’t a fuel, but a separate liquid used in modern diesel vehicles with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems. It’s a water-based urea solution stored in a separate tank and injected into the exhaust. There, it helps convert harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen and water vapor. AdBlue is essential for diesel vehicles that meet the Euro 6 emission standard. Without it, the engine won’t function properly. Unsure if your car needs AdBlue? Check your manual or ask your mechanic.
