The Q8 electric charge card is free. And when you charge at Q8 stations, there are no transaction or start/stop fees. That means no hidden costs, you only pay for the energy you use.

Charging at Q8 and our partner networks

In the Benelux, your Q8 electric card works across our own network: Q8 electric and Tango electric. We currently have more than 350 (ultra)fast charging points and aim to add 80 new locations every year. You can also use your Q8 electric card at over 890,000 charging points across Europe – that’s access to 99% of all charging stations. So you’ll rarely come across a charger you can’t use.

How much does EV charging cost?

The cost of a charging session depends on the country, local VAT rates, and the charging point operator. At fast chargers in Belgium and the Netherlands, you pay €0.69 per kWh (incl. VAT) using your Q8 electric card, the Q8 electric app, or your bank/credit card. In Luxembourg, the rate is €0.64 per kWh (incl. VAT). As you can see, our transparency knows no borders.

How do you order a Q8 electric charge card?

  • Download the Q8 electric app and create an account (or log in if you already have one). 

  • Order your free charge card and receive it within 5 days.

  • Start charging right away. You can even use the Q8 electric app before your card arrives. 

  • Activate your card via the Q8 electric app and start charging at all stations in our partner network.

    Charging cards from other providers
    It is currently possible to start a charging session at a Q8 electric charger with >75 different charging cards.
    A non-exhaustive list of accepted cards can be found in the overview below. If your charging card provider is not listed but the Q8 electric charging station is visible in your card provider’s app, your card should also be accepted.

  • Your charging session may continue to run in the app when your session has already ended. Don't panic, the charges do not continue. The charging session normally stops automatically when you start a new charging session. If it does not, please contact us at [email protected] so we can manually stop the charging session for you.

  • For private users:

    Via the Q8 electric app, you can block your current card and request a new one immediately. Within 5 working days you will receive your new Q8 electric card.

     

    For professional users ( became a customer before 7/7/2025):

    For the public (grey) charge card : You can block your current card via the Q8 electric app. Request your new card via your employer or send an email to [email protected].  Once the card is received, the user can activate the card in the app.

     

    For professional users ( became a customer from 7/7/2025):

    Creating Cards

    In the menu, go to "Cards" and select "Create Cards".

    Go through the 5 Steps

    In Step 1, select the number of cards you need.
    In Step 2, fill in all required fields (marked with an *) and click "Save". (Step 2 is mandatory)
    Steps 3 and 4 are optional - fill in only if necessary.
    Check that the address is correct.
    Click "Confirm" and then "OK."
     

    The request now appears under "View Card Requests".

     

    For professional users with a home charger

     

    For the home charger card: Please indicate this via the contact form. We will make sure you receive a new home charge card as soon as possible. The old card will be disconnected from the charger as soon as the new card is sent to prevent misuse
