It's warmer than 25°C in Belgium, and suddenly the whole country has the same idea: let's head to the coast! Your cooler's packed but … your EV's battery is half empty. So what do you do? Those sought-after charging spots along the coast are often a no-go on busy days. Thanks to this article, your beach day won't be a washout.
Quick top-up at the Belgian coast?
For now, there are few charging stations at the seaside. Public charge points are often occupied. And even if you do manage to snag one, you usually can't stay plugged in indefinitely. Aside from your parking disc (don't forget it!), in De Haan for example you can only charge for 3 hours. In Ostend, De Panne and Blankenberge, it's 4 hours. And in Knokke or Middelkerke, you're required to move your car within the hour once it's charged.
So to avoid costs or fines, you're better off moving your EV. Not so pleasant in sandy swimwear. And then fingers crossed you'll still find another parking spot in the middle of the day.

Sort out all the prep on the way
