Q8 is now offering an HVO100 product; Neste MY Renewable Diesel, produced from 100% renewable raw materials, at its passenger car fuel stations. The company now      introduces this renewable diesel on a larger scale to the Belgian market through a partnership with the Finnish company Neste, the world’s largest producer of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuelWith Neste MY Renewable Diesel, the fuel user can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90%* when compared to fossil diesel. The fuel is available at Q8 Zaventem/Nossegem, Q8 easy Rotselaar Wingepark and Q8 Mechelen, Brusselsesteenweg as from today. “In the course of October, four more stations will be added," notes Sven Dochez, Director Supply & Innovation at Q8. This expansion fits perfectly with Q8's transformation into a sustainable Mobility player, and it significantly strengthens the availability of Neste’s renewable products in Belgium. “We are delighted to extend our range of renewable products in the Belgian market. This expansion is a new and important step in the implementation of our global growth strategy”, says Peter Zonneveld, Vice President Sales Renewable Road Transportation at Neste.  

Neste MY Renewable Diesel is a premium diesel made entirely from renewable raw materials. It helps reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by up to 90% when emissions over the fuel's life cycle are compared with fossil diesel. The Neste produced renewable diesel is a “drop-in” fuel, fully compatible with all diesel engines, not requiring any modifications to the existing vehicles or fuel distribution infrastructures.  

7 Q8 stations with Neste MY Renewable Diesel this year  

After a successful introduction at several IDS stations of HVO100, Q8 anticipates the increased demand for sustainable fuels in Belgium with this diesel made of 100 % renewable raw materials. The company is the first to offer Neste MY Renewable Diesel on a larger scale in Belgium.

Together, both companies want to help customers in the Belgian market to become more sustainable. “We can do that in an instant with our Neste MY Renewable Diesel. Neste is committed to supporting the users of its renewable and circular solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 20 million tons annually by 2030,” says Peter Zonneveld. 

Neste MY Renewable Diesel is now available at Q8 Zaventem/Nossegem, Q8 easy Rotselaar Wingepark and Q8 Mechelen, Brusselsesteenweg. In the course of October, four more locations will be added: Q8 Lokeren, Q8 E34 Ranst direction Turnhout and Q8 E42 in Verlaine (both directions). "These locations were chosen strategically in order to support the development of the market," explains Sven Dochez. "And our ambitions do not stop here. If this offer is successful, we will extend the implementation in our network."      

More sustainable offer 

With the introduction of Neste MY Renewable Diesel, Q8 aims to make its fuel offer even more sustainable.  The company also offers Adblue, LNG and CNG. And last year Q8 electric was launched at Q8 stations, companies and other interesting mobility points. Overall, Q8 now offers sustainable fuels at 25% of its stations. With Neste MY Renewable Diesel offer, Q8 is taking a pioneer role by answering the demand of customers and society. 

Q8 and Neste are convinced that all solutions are needed to reduce mobility emissions as a contribution to the European goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
